I always like the idea of hammers on short barreled shotguns. It is the only way to keep it loaded without also being cocked. I like external hammers as Gunrunner knows. He designed me a Glock with a hammer!

The Cimarron revolver I handled showed impressive quality and finish. How is the shotgun?

I can't remember who makes Cimarrons shotgun but they are top of the line .

Mac
There is a shotgun I seen once had the side hammers but they are only cocking lever for internal hammers with fake external firing pin . They looked and work real side hammer gun .They have the fast lock time of striker action and firing pins are internal also . They were imported by Remington arm in 2005 , Spartan arm and Baikal arms from Russa . They were price about $275 nothing fancy and takes screw in chokes

It's awesome. Reminds me of the quality of Uberti and Pedersoli firearms.

If you go to WalMart and shop , 99% everything in that store is made in China . It is super hard to buy anything made from the USA anymore . So don't feel bad about a China made gun ....

I like this DB shotgun from Cimarron , but I don't think worth 3 time the cost of Augustus shotgun and I believe it is built by the same company too . I love the specal hammers

I have a Stoeger Coach Gun with a 20" barrel in 20 ga. Fun to shoot. It rides behind my rear seat in the pickup. A S&W 686 rides up front with me.

I like it! Always wanted one of those, but for the life of me, I can't think why I've never bought one.
