just put a 3.5 inch with a birdshead grip in lay away, 22lr and 22wmr, price was right. Neat looking little plinker, although i can see why they're called a rough rider. Anybody got an experience with these....i've heard good to bad as usual, but i trust others here.

the price was right, and even though it's a rough looker with the standard finish (i don't believe it was fired much, and i don't think the 22wmr was fired at all) the 3.5 barrel and birdshead grip was just neat.

...I once had a cheap off-brand .22 pistol...shot more snakes with that gun than any I owned...just learned the point on it and ignored the sights...I kept loadin' and it kept firin'...I wouldn't have let ANYONE know I owned such a POS...but the snakes didn't know the difference...shoot the hell out of it and learn it like that and you'll have fun as long as it lasts...and if they steal it outa your truck...oh, well.... |

I have one 4and5/8 it shoots great with 22lr and not worth a damn with mag one. That's fine with me 22 lr much cheaper. can't complain when paid 159.95 for it two years ago. Have fun with the little toy, don't have to worry about banging it up. Tom |

I bought my son one of these back in '87 when they were imported by FIE and called 'lil Texas ranger. He has fired thousands of rounds through it and it still shoots good. I think for the money they are a good deal. With that short barrel they are LOUD!

I have one of these and it is very cheaply made. Its one of those pistols where you don't care what happens to it. Need a hammer? Use it. http://chiappafirearms.com/product/1518 |
