Barrel length .. Remember this ammo is not loaded for target work . It is loaded to shoot Cowboy Action steel targets and not to exceed 750 FPS . These targets are the 1st time these gun have ever been shot on paper . So these are not the best targets for the day they only targets I shot for the day of each gun . . I just finished cutting the forcing to 11 degrees and I shot them the same day with the same ammo .

Really nice stuff, TGR, as always.

Been thinking of getting a Single Action, but not sure, yet. How would you rate the Uberti/Cimarron compared to the usual Ruger SA?

The New Cimarron / Uberti in the last 8 yrs have the resigned the Colt springs that never break . The Ruger SA was the top gun . I will never buy another Ruger SA they all need work to bring them up to the Cimarron / Uberti quality . Ruger 22 SA are pure junk and if get a 45 LC Vaquero or Blackhawk SA and the cylinder chamber are normally drilled 3 different sizes and in the last 30 guns I tested . I had 4 Vaquero in 44-40 2 of them I send back to Ruger and they replaced barrels and cylinders in both guns . I don't like buying a gun and send it back to Ruger to fix it right .

Thanks TGR, The more I learn about SA guns the more I want one. There is a local shop that has Cimmaron models on their website. I like the looks of the conversion style models the Army and Navy guns. The ones they sell are in .45 colt and I already shoot 38 special so a model in .357/38 would suit me better as I also want a DA in .357 so would have ammo for both. They have several Frontier models and some P models. I noticed you have a beautiful pair of P jr guns. What is the difference between the models?

Thanks, TGR. I'll be taking a look at the Cimmaron/Uberti SAs. Have already been though the "send it back to Ruger" thing too many times. Be nice if there was another affordable American made option in SA revolvers, but it is what it is.

NCG -I have an Uberti .22LR SA and love it. It looks like a million dollars and shoots straight.

TGR -love those pistols and you did a fantastic job photographing them.
