Timing is Everything!

Was at my LGS getting some of the 5.56 XM855 they had on sale, and just asked out of curiosity what a SS Ruger Bearcat would cost to order. My grandson really likes them, and his birthday is next month. He likes a special run we saw on the Ruger website of adjustable sight models they ran for Lipsey's. As the salesman is checking the computer, another rep walks by and looks at the screen and says "you lookin for a Bearcat? I have one coming in on order, but it's got the adjustable sights."

End result is a new SS Bearcat with adjustable sights will be wrapped up as a birthday present next month.

The best part was it was $40.00 less than the fixed sight model that was at Cabela's last week.

I can't wait to take him to the range, and will post all about it next month.

A VERY Happy Pappy!

That's great, Pappy. Those fixed sights on the standard Bearcat were a real negative in my opinion. The one I had actually shot very well, once you got past those crude sights. Adjustable sights are big upgrade on that gun.

You got that right! Picked up a case of 600 rounds of Federal Lake City production.
