That would make a good backpacking firearm.

I was just looking at the NA website. They make one in .22 short only. I might get it. I have a couple cases of HV shorts and I bet it would be a blast to shoot.

TGR, with our new CZ 22 mag, we've been hunting for 22 mag ammo and, as usual, up here, almost impossible to find and very expensive. I don't recommend a 22 mag as a gun for plinking and a lot of target work. I knew that going in with the CZ FS 22 mag we just bought, but I couldn't resist the temptation to get another CZ. Just didn't expect it to shoot that good and now the hunt for ammo is on.

As a SD or carry gun cartridge, I think the 22 mag is actually a reasonable option It's no 38 Special, but definitely a cut above a 22 LR. With the new SD 22 mag ammo, it's even better. We picked up some Hornady Critical Defense 22 mag ammo and it cost $18.50 a box of 50. When we see standard 22 mag loads, up here, it's not much cheaper, though.

Plinking with .22WMR can get expensive. For the money I would rather shoot .17HMR. On a separate note would HV short .22 shoot just as fast in a two inch barrel as a .22LR?

No one had the .22 short in stock so I ordered the .22LR. It can shoot the shorts so no big deal. My LGS also has a used .22WMR that I might look at.

They only made the 17 HMR for a few years . I don't think they still are making them . I think they were having problem with the 17 HMR back out and locking cylinder up . I hear that a few years ago . Get the 22LR and not the 22 short . The short in my opinion is waste of money plus you can shoot your shorts in the LR one anyway .

I found the Winc 40gr HP 22 mag at Academy at $11.99 a box and no limit so I got 4 boxes . That will last me till I die .

I got the Mag to put on a rope like my 22 LR below which I wear it 23 hours and 40 mins a day . The other 20 mins I take a shower ...... I think the 22 mag which has a longer barrel would be a better backup gun with that big fold down grip . I think Hickok 45 did a super job shooting it and If I didn't see him shoot it I would have believed it .

I may just get the one used .22WMR and send it in to have a .22LR cylinder fitted for it.

Those Winchester .22WMR have a thick rim and may not chamber in all your firearms. But if they do they are very accurate.

I don't have the gun yet to try and fit them . I hope there is no problems . This is going to be a backup or bug I will carry around my neck or clip on my waist band . So it must run smooth

You know there is a 22 WRF which is different from 22 WMR [ mag ] . About ever 10 yrs Winc makes a run of 22 WRF and 1/2 the people buy them thinking they are 22 mag . I don't know if you have those and they are the ones too big ?

I have some /22WRF which can be shot in a .22WMR. But the WMR can not be shot in a WRF firearm. Sort of like 38 special and 357 magnum.

The Winchester ammo I'm talking about is the exact same Varmint and Small Game ammo that you have in the picture. Other Winchester ammo isn't a problem.

I only found 2 thing that worked on snakes . A 6" 38/ 357 revolver with shot capsules below or the Bond 410 with the 2 1/2 " shell and not the 3" .... I sold both guns .

P.S. it is illegal to shoot snake in Tn so I only used the guns to scare them around my pond . .

I've been killin em with my buck mark 22lr birdshot. Our prairie rattlers aren't as big as what I suspect you had back in Tennessee. And our "season" is closed here as of the 15th so all I'll be doin is "scarin" em too!

I stopped by my LGS yesterday and bought the NAA in .22WMR. At some point I may have it fitted with a LR cylinder.

303......Which barrel length and grip did you get .... I got 1 5/8 " on the 22 mag below it should be here Thursday . I took a pic of my holster I made for the 1 1/8" 22LR and you can use the pocket as a gauge to were the gun and holster is located because it disappears under a T-shirt .

I can't remember the barrel length. It doesn't really matter to me. Since my WA state concealed permit expired I have to wait three days. It is used, comes with the folding grip like the one in the video plus an NAA ammo tube made for the pistol.
