Single action revolver publications.

I have begun to develop an interest in single action revolvers. Are there any good magazines devoted to the subject? I have a Colt and some Rugers and I would like to read more about them.

As TGR mentions, I think you can probably do as well or better by cruising the internet and visiting forums like this who have members that love Single Actions. I'm one of them, for sure.

For some heavy technical reading, there is "The Ruger Single-Action Revolver" by Jerry Kuhnhausen. It's a detailed gunsmithing manual, but has some useful information and explanations for laymen that I found interesting.

A quick Google turned up this site:

I've been a posting member on that sight for over 12 yrs . 90% of the stuff there is custom high dollar SA 6 guns and custom cal . Lee writes a lot of great articles and is a great gunsmith too .

Many of the "all around" gun forums have sections for single actions, especially those focused on a company that makes them, like the two Ruger Forums and the Colt forum. I think there are several cowboy shooting forums, too. Browsing those will take some time.

If you like to hold the printed word in your hands like I do, look on the magazine racks for a quarterly publication called Guns Of The Old West. It is oriented to the cowboy action shooting folks.
Here is their website www.gunsoftheoldwest.com

I am a poor country boy and can not afford any "high zoot" handguns. Mine are Uberti's, Pietta's, and Rugers. I have them in 22 rimfire, 357, 44 magnum, and 45 Colt.
