It has A roll cage and 3 air bags and a 5 star safety rating . That is higher than 80% of the new cars . That information At the end of video I post .

Its only a 5-star rating when you run into another Elio. Still I would buy one.

I figured it would cost more. $6,800 is a little less than a new dirt bike.

With AC and cheap MC insurance and lic plates . Plus Pep Boys can do the warranty work for you . They are making them at the old GM Hummer plant in La but the Government has a hold on the GM plant stuff and stopped them . Another o'bama screw up there is 1500 people working at the Elio plant . I would place my order but I could be dead before the red tape is fix .

Your Teardrop is heavier then the car . There is a ton of room in it to make sleeper out of if .

With the rear seat folded down there is 48" storeage . The front seat fold forward to let passenger in the back so there more room there for sleeping .

Finding one might be a problem as they already have a lot of orders. And what we see are advertisements. I wonder what Ralph Nader will say?

If I lived in the city, I would buy one. Not a good choice for interstate travel (think about passing semi trucks) or getting though snowdrifts in our country. 4WD in the winter is a legit need where we live. About time, though, someone made a car, again, that everyone can afford.

But its a motorcycle.

Does anyone know anything about the Russian motorcycle with the side car that has both rear wheels being driven?

You better start saving your rubles. That rear fender seat looks like you'd be lookin for eight when they pulled the gate.

This is not a new concept . It was design to run on the interstate and is more stable then most cars at high speed . This will run over 100 mph out of the box . Needs a supercharger to scary the crap out of me like T-Rex below .

The T-Rex below starts at $60,000 will run 160 mph and it has no air bags , heater or AC . That is why the Elio is a great idea to me .

A driven sidecar wheel makes sense in the frozen conditions there. I thought there was a German military bike with that feature too but I don't know for sure. Just a vague memory.

Gunrunner, that sounds like an interesting machine. A much better balance of features then any other three wheeler I have heard of, and the price is fantastic.
