Warm truck

My truck was running a little warmer then normal so I replaced thermostat and rad cap , no help, . Replace clutch fan not much better , So I ordered a new radiator pick it up and it was the wrong one I got the correct one and the temp was normal and great after I replaced it . Till one hour later I got a leak . Looked like a waterpump turned out to be the bottom hose at the pump . Now it is back to 100% and only cost me under $200 .. Autozone gives senor discount . You must ask for it

YES ...... everything except the bottom hose. If I lay on the ground my head starts spinning and I will get sick , so a friend did that for me . Remember the 2 bolts were frozen on the thermostat housing that took me almost 3 days get out . I need to add antifreeze if everything checks out OK in the next day or so .

It is not the money .............I want it to be done correctly and be 100% correct . I got my 1st car in 1957 and 1st motorcycle in 1958 and I have been the only one who have ever worked on my car or MC since then . That is why I build all my match gun too . I could not find a gunsmith to build a gun the way ordered it .

Glad it's OK now. I try to do my own work for the same reasons whenever possible. Brakes, radiators & electrical I can do.

If it's engine, tranny or A/C, I'm screwed

I've worked in the auto repair my whole life . I had 1 of those quick lube shop up the street from my repair shop and I can't tell you how many screw up they sent me a week to fix them after they screwed them up .

I trained all my men personally to do the job correctly even if it takes a extra hour. I made lots of money in auto repair and retired at age 50 and there is not 1 person can say I knowingly cheated them in the 14 yrs I had my shop open . My men NEVER took short cuts to make money and I had the best of the best and I still repaired my own cars/truck/MC

I've found a place here in Ephrata to get my oil changed. Its from a local family that has had a shop here for 60 years. The grandson is now doing the oil changing. He might only be a 21 year old kid but he has been around oil changing half his life. Its not the same as having a 21 year old kid doing it after he got high the night before.

I hate working on cars. That's what boyfriends and/or husband's are for. I'm no dummy, though. I know all the parts of a car and what they do and I have changed oil and things like that.

I built tons of race cars and motorcycles in my life and LOVE it , but my health and old age is handicapping anymore . My mustang is a super car because I can sit in the front seat and play with the tune and stuff and not get my hands dirty . It has 4 cam shafts and the computer control each cam and can change each cam profile and timing , plus you can play with the fuel injection too. I have a stock tune , 91 octane street tune , 93 octane street tune and a 93 octane race tune . If E85 gets into more station here I will have a E85 tune because the fuel is cheaper here in Tx and will add more horse power to the car and better MPG too . I'm at 475 HP now and E85 I should put it to 500 HP .
